TIEScast

TIEScast is a unique web platform within the context of extensive internet activities around the TIES Project to create a direct link between the research project(s) and members of the second generations in the different countries. TIEScast offers a low-threshold multimedia platform for contributions to the topics of the TIES project. These contributions will primarily consist of short films made with digital cameras, web cams or cell phones. TIEScast is unique (and experimental at the same time) in two ways: It represents the first Europe-wide platform for second generations to interact and exchange on issues of integration. This means not only the crossing of national borders for members of the same ethnic groups, but also crossing-over between different ‘ethnic’ communities. At the same time, TIEScast represents a new means of communication between research and its target groups.
